Monday Madness

Come on down to room 440 at 12:00PM on Monday, April 13th to see the presentations from both students and professionals! Anyone who is interested in getting an internship geared towards interface design should definitely find time to make it over. For anyone who can't make it I'll post a brief overview of it that night, but it would be beneficial for you to see it in action. Below is an outline of what is to come compliments of Kristin Anhorn.

Dr. Loren Terveen is Professor of Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction at University of Minnesota and is an expert in computer-human-factors. With a colleague he leads an interesting, wiki-enabled bicycling research project at the called Cyclopath, details at: http://mndaily.com/2008/10/19/geowiki-designed-u-brings-path-finder-technology-bikers

There is a summer (2009) internship under his direction at the U. for an MCADer. He needs interface design help from us, best fit seems likely be BS or Design major, upper division; student will have to have demonstrable interface design skills, but little programming.

Professor Terveen will join us at MCAD on Monday, April 13, from 12:00-12:30, to present his endeavor. Location is Main 440. Please join us if you are interested. Time allocation: 20 min. to present, 5-10 min. of Q+A. He will review portfolios, but not that day.
