Interface Design Internship

Compliments of Kevin Byrne:

Dr. Loren Terveen is Professor of Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction at University of Minnesota and is an expert in computer-human-factors. With a colleague he leads an interesting, wiki-enabled bicycling research project at the called Cyclopath, details at: http://mndaily.com/2008/10/19/geowiki-designed-u-brings-path-finder-technology-bikers

He, Career Services, and I have agreed to explore a paid summer (2009) internship under his direction at the U. for an MCADer. He needs interface design help from us, best fit seems likely be BS or Design major, upper division; student will have to have demonstrable interface design skills, but little programming.

Professor Terveen will join us at MCAD on Monday, April 13, from 12:00-12:30, to present his endeavor. Location is Main 440. Please join us if you are interested. Time allocation: 20 min. to present, 5-10 min. of Q+A. He will review portfolios, but not that day.
